Metal deburring and mechanical polishing

Mass finishing that deburrs, radiuses, descales, burnishes and brightens production quantities. The process is selected to suit the part rather than the other way round.

Deburring is the process MFI started with and remains its core competency. Instead of running everything through one machine, MFI selects from a range of mass finishing methods based on part geometry, material and the required finish. Small precision stampings and heavy forgings need different treatment, so they run separately.

What you get

  • Vibratory finishing to deburr, radius, descale, burnish, clean and brighten in bulk
  • Barrel finishing in six- and eight-sided barrels for corner rounding and deburring
  • Centrifugal disc finishing, a high energy process for precision deburring of stamped and machined parts
  • Belt sanding for flat stock and weld dressing
