ISO 9001 since 2002
MFI took ISO 9001 registration in 2002 and has advanced it with every revision of the standard since, first to ISO 9001:2008 and then to ISO 9001:2015. The purpose of the quality system is repeatability: a lot received in June is processed to the same standard as a lot received in January.

Awards and milestones
Serving the Ohio Valley’s metal finishing, deburring, passivating and parts cleaning needs under the MFI banner.
Awarded the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Corporate Environmental Achievement Award for environmental protection and improvement.
The Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Sciences presents MFI with its “Return On Initiative” award. In the same year MFI earns the Mass Finishing Job Shops Association Certification Quality One award.
ISO 9001:2000 registration.
Certification advanced to ISO 9001:2008.
Acquired in April by the owners of Euclid Refinishing Inc. dba Surftech of Northeast Ohio. All facilities and staff retained.
Certification advanced again to ISO 9001:2015.
Zinc barrel plating and zinc rack plating added in-house in response to customer and industry demand.
